This will most likely be the last post I make. My email address will still remain active so if you'd ever like to ask if I have written anything new, etc. you may do so here. For some of you, a thousand thanks for all of your comments and support, they really have inspired me and carried me through some dark times.
skull of spent coffee the pale horseman takes a breather.
from his side, across the tableaux, the sun is crepe dry
and safety-pinned, nails thin red dirt thick finger and thumb.
if i knew who he's got on this side - well, expecting nothing less
from you, to thee my lovely, farewell.
sixth bullet tears the rain like a picnic in the camp
and the band plays on. he said, make me living light and useless
as the arms of heaven, fists in germany. bloated rivers scabbed
too long as long sleeves pass the wrist, roll them down,
row upstream. inside hotter than hell even here frozen over
the warmth of your company. knock, it makes no difference to
salty eyes too sharp to close rip the hacksawing beef
thrust into the faerie ring of this feeling so disconnected,
torch the grasshut sky and install wire mesh electrified fencing.
from gorilla mist the old ones pause their lament, trip up choral
parts bleeding about the dead will die countless times
more than ourselves and down sheer hollywood hills they plummet
high, godspeed ennui that breaks the heart
that keeps working and winding down and waiting and peeling
away the light for a tiny one's curiosity. do it again.
he would kill for a death that really does work, out to lunch
it seems he'll never come back after what I said.
but he promised so many I knew he couldn't deliver. so. go. on.

under false pretenses, masks and aliases in mansonesque court battles.

a machine pitching down to sawdust, to the heap with the grandfather clock,
they don't make years like they used to, mother beating the puppy's coffin.
he's route 66 under grinning wheels and whatever they churn out,
lynch-mob the wild at heart, stretching on forever is the nowhere
to turn to in newspaper arms, feet first recycle bin cardiac arrest.
from the moor on a lesser moon of jupiter I call you. he slouches to heaven
in a darkrystal carapice, a long way from gulls eyes and polaroids. you will see.
champagne-light cork dance tiny phantoms high and low beyond me, high and low
around they go, around they go high and low they sink unable to fall,
the nickel-dusted eyes of statues beg of the sun.

Tattoo Book Responses...Please read
Someone posted in response to my survey this comment. I am not going to name this person, though if she wants to identify herself she surely can. I am very pleased she commented in this vein, as the criticism I've taken for this survey has been very harsh. The responses I've gotten so far (wel over 200) have been wonderful, but I want to address the criticisms.
well i am very concerned about this survey and what effect it is going to have on the mainstream.... for many year we (modded peeps) have been trying to be accepted in the mainstream, to get better jobs to get better pay to get better services and not be looked down on for our mods...i fear if this book comes out it is going to hurt a lot in our culture/community of body modification....it will set back our struggle for acceptance a century at least....and just what is heavily modified? i think that is in the eye of the beholder/viewer...even tho i am an older educated woman who is 2/3 covered in ink and over 19 piercings...i do not think of myself as "heavily" modified....i never did self harm to my knowledge...and dont look at tattooing or modifyng my body as self harm.... very concerned about the outcome of this book...sure you may help a few women with this book but overALL i think you will be doing a disservice to the community of body modifications...
Please read my lengthy response after the cut, and please respond with your own thought. I am so serious about this project, and I want it to be right. Any help and constructive criticism is welcomed. The only hurtful things that have been said to me have included name-calling and stuff like that, but these things are easily ignored. I will never ignore conscientious criticism ( Read more...Collapse )

Tattoo/piercing survey for women
x-posted to any community interested in tattoos, piercing, self injury, depression, being a "freak", or suicide girls
First, let me introduce myself. My name is Susan Swan; I'm a
professor of English at Marshall University in Huntington, WV. I am heavily tattooed and am/was a self injurerer. This survey asks very personal questions, so please feel free to backchannel me your answers if you would rather do so; my email is: email@example.com
Although this survey does specifically ask about self-injury and tattoos, I'm also very interested in other reasons that women get tattooed. So please fill out the survey and tell me your reasons for being tattooed/pierced. at least one chapter of my book will focus on reasons other than self-injury.http://www.vyvyn.com/melissa-back.html
-- Melissa Thompson is my
artist, and she works with Vyvyn Lazonga, one of the very first
female tattoo artists along withy Gypsy Jill and Pat Fish.
Anyway, I"ve been wanting to do research on moderate to heavily tattooed and pierced women
My premise is that many heavily tattooed women were once self-injurers of some type -- that
is, they cut themselves, were addicted to drugs, gambling, spending,
or nicotine, had suicidal thoughts, or caused themselves physical pain
in other ways. My hypothesis is that these women "cure" their
self-injury tendencies by inscribing their body with beauty/pain. The
title of the book will be "From Pain to Beauty: Heavily Tattooed
Women and Inscripted Resistance" or something like that.
For a definition of self-injury followed by the survey, read on: ( Read more...Collapse )

The Murder of Art
Well, I guess it's high time I displayed my artwork on here. I decided to post my two best works. The first is a pure charcoal drawing and depicts the human mind into beings representing various emotions. I entered it in a local art contest and received outstanding recognition for it. I titled it "The Feeble Alterations Of The Human Psyche." The second one I used acrylic paint and took a long while to complete, which I created for my best friend Alicia. I was a chance for me to display my love for mythology, meditation techniques, outer body experiences, unknown phenomena, and the fourth-dimension. I labeled it "The Transgressive Ocular Orifice". Hope you all enjoy.

Click the above logo for an alternative comic I draw. It is FOR OUTCASTS, it is BY AN OUTCAST, and it is ABOUT AN OUCTAST.
The humor is very subtle and dry, often working on multiple levels. There's currently 340 strips. Hope you enjoy!

Sorry to go but I'm bored honestly.
Take care all, enjoy yourselves where ever life brings you.

their deaths for their precious blood. Since
you are dead already and as tough as they come,
you are secure, condifent, and nearly
Welcome to the shadows!
And now that you know who you are, take my hand and

What Evil Creature of the Night are you? brought to you by Quizilla Current Mood: anxious
Hi everyone. My name is Tatiyana, and I'm brand new to LJ and everything on here. I just joined a whole bunch of communities that sounded like places I mind find people like me or interesting things to do. I am from Connecticut and am very into all things dark and mystical. The more bizarre and unusual, the better it is for me. I've just discovered the joy of making quizes so from time to time I may post a quiz I've made if that's okay with everyone. I have one nearly done now, so I'll try and get it up tomorrow night.
Well, I hope that's enough of an intro for you! I'm kind of nervous, so go easy on me, okay? Nice to meet you all, and I'll talk to you again soon! Current Mood: accomplished

Sometimes I Take Humor Seriously. Sometimes I Take Seriousness Humorously. Either Way It Is Irrelevant."
i'm a 20-ish quasi-discordian who has recently become stuck in one of the more boring "cities" this fine land has to offer: lincoln, nebraska. it's not so fun. in two months time, i've managed to meet el no one, really. it would help if i could find places to go, but there's nobody to suggest any to me. nobody i've met, at least; which would be nobody.
posting seems to have slown down in this community... maybe i can dig up some... stuff... to get people talking again =)
also, lincoln has no waffle houses. actually, the nearest waffle house is in missouri, which, by the way, is where i was before lincoln; a saint louisian.
ok, that's me, kinda.
